iBooks and Kindle: What could make them better?

ibooks

I have been using iBooks for the last couple of weeks now and I love it. Amazon’s Kindle software makes for a great reading experience as well. Though they have their slight differences, neither of them really stands out from the other. But I have a suggestion that would be a welcome addition to either of them (at least from me).

Google doesn't get it.

google nexus one

Guess what? The Nexus One, the renowned “iPhone killer,” doesn’t seem to be making the dent in Apple’s business that Google was hoping for. Here’s what Google must understand: Apple was first to market. Apple is the innovator. Apple will continue to lead the way long into the future. The problem with copying great products [...]

Opinion: Why AT&T's Attitude Is Hurting Its Brand

Opinion: Why AT&T’s Attitude Is Hurting Its Brand. I ran into the article above (follow link) earlier and had to laugh. It seems that I am not the only one that has a problem with how AT&T is addressing the challenges it faces with the iPhone. Will AT&T actually do something significant to address this [...]

Nokia: if you can't beat 'em, sue them

Earlier this week there were a variety of posts about how Nokia is filing all kinds of injunctions against Apple to prevent them from importing anything that is remotely tied to the mobile phone business, including everything from the iPhone and iPods to the MacBook (read more). However, I have to ask, instead of wasting a bunch of money on lawyers and lawsuits, wouldn’t Nokia be better served by actually trying to take on Apple by creating superior products and services?

First, we heard that the company might start charging users based on their data usage in an attempt to minimize the massive amounts of data that iPhone users are prone to sharing. Then Verizon went to battle with AT&T by [...]

Verizon and AT&T Face Off: You Lose

Disclaimer: I am an AT&T customer and I own an iPhone. In case you haven’t noticed, Verizon and AT&T are back at it fighting it out on the airwaves. On one side, we have Verizon boasting about their 3G coverage. On the other side, AT&T is back on its heals talking about their coverage and [...]

What? No MMS!

Here’s my only rant about my new iPhone 3G S – Apple finally released an iPhone that will support MMS. I can’t tell you how excited I was about this feature when I heard about. Then I got my phone and found out there was a glitch. AT&T isn’t quite ready to support MMS (there’s [...]

The iPhone 3G S

I received my iphone 3G S yesterday. The worst part of the day was having to wait to go home and switch it over from my original iPhone. The 3G S is incredibly fast. I love it. Here’s my recommendation. I upgraded from the original iPhone. Right now mms and tethering are not enabled. You [...]
